The University of Oxford was ranked No. 1 in the world according to the Times Higher Education Ranking 2016–2017, ahead of California Institute of Technology (2nd) and Stanford University (3rd).

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) has improved its standing in the 2016–2017 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It was ranked No. 14 worldwide and No. 10 in the United States. This is up from last year’s showing of No. 16 overall and No. 11 nationally.

The University of Sydney was ranked 60th in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, cementing its place as one of the world’s best research and teaching institutions. The rankings validate the strength of the University’s research citations, particularly in the disciplines of Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences, Economics, Education and Social Work, and Agriculture and the Environment.

The University of Adelaide has risen in the prestigious Times Higher Education rankings, jumping seven places to 142nd in the world. Earlier this month, the University jumped 30 places in the ARWU rankings to be placed 139th.
