According to the Guardian University Guide 2018, the University of Cambridge was ranked 1st in the nation, followed by Oxford (2nd) and St Andrews (3rd).

The University of Warwick was ranked 8th by the Guardian University Guide in its table for 2018. The Guardian University Guide also ranked 15 of Warwick’s departments/subjects in the top 10 nationally: Film and Television Studies (2nd), Accountancy (3rd), Politics (3rd), Business (4th), Biosciences (Life Sciences) (5th), Modern Languages (5th), Sociology (6th), Mathematics (6th), Classics & Ancient History (6th), Engineering (7th), History (7th), Chemistry (8th), Economics (8th), English & Creative Writing (9th), and Physics (9th).

Coventry University was ranked 12th, its highest ever placing, up from 15th. In addition, Coventry University was ranked top in England for its teaching quality score, and 3rd in the UK for the percentage of final-year students satisfied with feedback and assessment by lecturers.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) has reached 18th place in the Guardian University Guide 2018, rising six places into the top 20.

Brunel University London was ranked 72nd overall and in the UK top 10 across seven subject areas in the Guardian University Guide 2018: Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at Brunel are rated 5th in the UK out of 71 universities offering courses in the health professions; Anthropology is 4th in the UK out of 17, and English and Creative Writing are ranked 8th out of 106 similar courses.
